Today is the special Day called
“Guru Purnima”. This is the important day in our culture. The word ‘Guru’ is
formed by the combination of two words ‘Gu’ and ‘Ru’. In Sanskrit Language Gu
means darkness and Ru means the person who has the power to remove that
darkness. We celebrate this day with our
Gurus.
In
ancient time there were no schools like they are available these days. There
used to be school called ‘Pathasala’ where guru used to teach the lesson in
practical way. So in rememberance of those gurus this day is celebrated.
Today
I also got up in the morning, wash my face and went to visit Guru. I went to taking some sweet and spend
some of my timen with him.
Nowadays,
in school they celebrate it as teachers’ day because they are also considered
as the person who can remove darkness. I got surprised why there is a red tika
on everyone’s face today and remembered that today was the Special Day ‘Guru
Purnima.’ Happy Guru Purnima
