Bhaktapur, Dec
20: Bhaktapur has seen an increment in the influx of Chinese tourists this
year, beating the number of Indian tourists, who were the highest last year.
According to the
Tourist Information Centre, of total 111,293 tourists visiting Bhaktapur, a
city full of cultural, historical and religious significance, in the last four
months of the current fiscal year. The number of Chinese tourist stands atop,
occupying 23 per cent of the total tourists.
"Earlier,
Indian tourists were in the top to relish the beauty of the city,"
informed Damodar Suwal, the Chief of the Information Centre, adding that their
influx is 18 per cent of the total tourists.
Similarly,
tourists from Italy, Spain, France, the UK, the USA, Germany and Japan have
come to Bhaktapur in highest number besides China and India. RSS
