Kathmandu,
Nov 15: A march was organized here this morning demanding the establishment of
the mother's identity in the right to citizenship in the new constitution.
Rights
activists affiliated to some 50 civil society organizations including the
National Women Commission took part in the rally that began from Tundikhel and
passed through Ratna Park, old bus park, martyrs gate and new road.
The
rally was organized at the initiative of a network of youth human rights
activists.
Participants of the
rally carried placards and banners calling for establishment of the right to
citizenship by descent from the father or mother in the upcoming constitution.
