Biratnagar, Nov 16: Minister of
State for Commerce and Supplies, Giri Bahadur KC, has said the role of trades
was important for industrial development, so the government was committed to
creating favourable atmosphere for trades.
Inaugurating the 37th annual general
meeting of Nepal Petroleum Dealers' Association here on Saturday, State
Minister KC said there should be harmonious relations between Nepal Oil
Corporation and the petroleum dealers. He urged both sides to identify their
weaknesses and make improvements accordingly.
Similarly, the State Minister
suggested the petroleum dealers to present a report on their problems, so that
the Ministry could initiate necessary work for addressing the problems.
On the occasion, Director General at
Department of the Standards and Metrology, Bishwo Babu
Pudashaini, said it was also the responsibility of the petroleum dealers in
addition to Nepal Oil Corporation to ensure the quality of oil to the
