MORNING SLEEP

When it's time to rise from bed
Irrespective of dreams that enter my head
The cosiness of my bed has me caught
Like an ant inside a sugar pot

When early birds start to sing
And the alarm goes ting ting
All I like to do is press the snooze button
Because sleeping is the best thing
Early in the morning I do not rise
So i may not be healthy, wealthy or wise
Sleeping the entire day is what I like to do.
For me, sleeping is the biggest prize

But,
To the tide of time I must abide
Despite such sweet slumber, I am obliged to rise
There are places where I have to be
And my many characters I have to set free
