Kathmandu, Nov 10: President of the Constitutional
and Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee (CPDCC), Dr Baburam Bhattarai
has begun interaction with political leaders on the disputed issues of a new
constitution.
The process was obstructed due to his
sickness for some days.
President Dr Bhattarai this morning,
telephoned the Prime Minister and Nepali Congress President Sushil Koirala, CPN
(UML) chair KP Sharma Oli and Madhesi Janadhikar Forum (Democratic) chair Bijay
Kumar Gachchhadar and held discussions on the issues related to the new
constitution, Bhattarai's personal secretariat sources said.
According to the secretariat, Dr
Bhattarai clarified that he wanted to facilitate the process rather than
obstructing the process. The meeting of the committee is scheduled to be held on
Tuesday at 1:00 pm.
Similarly, Dr Bhattarai held meetings
with UCPN (Maoist) chair Pushpa Kamal Dahal at former's residence at Sanepa
last evening for the same.
Dr
Bhattarai further clarified that he wanted to drive the constitution drafting
process on the basis of consensus. RSS
