Kathmandu, Nov 7: Foreign Affairs
Minister Mahendra Bahadur Pandey has said that Nepal was always committed to
better diplomatic relations as the active diplomacy would resolve the tougher
problems.
At the first meeting with different
countries' ambassadors to Nepal organized by Honorary Counsel Corps Nepal on
Friday, Minister Pandey urged the envoys to invest for Nepal's education and
health sectors and in poverty alleviation.
Likewise, Acting Secretary at the
Ministry Shankerdas Bairagi underscored the need for exchange of socio-economic
supports between the consular service representing countries and host countries
as envisaged by the Vienna Convention on Diplomatic Relations.
Dean of the programme organizing
institution Basantaraj Mishra said that Nepal was highly sensitive to the
security concerns of tourists adding that tourism was development's backbone in
Nepal. He urged the foreign tourists to visit Nepal with high confidence.
Ambassadors and diplomats of USA,
Russia, South Korea, Israel, Thailand and other countries to Nepal were present
at the programme. RSS
