7: The High-level Political Committee meeting today was postponed after the
ruling parties failed to turn up for the meeting.
The meeting was scheduled to discuss
ways to forging a consensus on the disputed issues of the new constitution and
completing the remaining task of the peace process.
Nepali Congress and UML leaders
informed about their inability to attend the meeting supposed to be held at the
office of the state affairs committee, leading to the postponement, said Shiva
Khakurel, the aide of HLPC Coordinator Pushpa Kamal Dahal.
A meeting of the three major parties
on Thursday evening had decided to summon the meeting of the Committee for
today, after the meeting of the CA Constitutional-Political Dialogue and
Consensus Committee was postponed indefinitely.
