28: The odd and even number plate
system, implemented for managing the traffic during the 18th SAARC Summit, has
been lifted from 1:00 pm today. The system was implemented from November 24.
Spokesperson
at the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division, Superintendent of Police Basanta
Panta said the odd and even number system, implemented from November 24 to 28
for vehicles operated in the Kathmandu Valley, was removed from this afternoon.
An arrangement
was made for operating vehicles with even number plates on November 24, 26 and
28 and odd number plate-bearing vehicles on November 25 and 27.
