People elated over Electricity, Drinking Water

            Beni (Myagdi), Nov 17: The Bukeni people from Barangja-8 in the district have been overjoyed with the facility of electricity and drinking water. They got both facilities on the same day.

Both projects on drinking water and electricity completed the same day bringing happiness to the locals who had a long history of difficulty.

A local Naramaya Roka said, "On the same day, our houses got electric light and water taps after longtime suffering. So our happiness is boundless."

As many as 16 taps were installed for 40 households and a school. The project on drinking water cost Rs 3.4 million.

Similarly, a small hydropower project was constructed with the cost of nearly one million. The initiation for this was taken by the district development committee, Nepal Electricity Authority and Barangja VDC. RSS
