Biratnagar,
Nov 15: Police have seized four quintals of betel nuts, 90 kgs of garlic, a
rickshaw, steel utensils, and garments from Mechinagar Municipality of Jhapa
district this morning.
A police patrol deployed from the Eastern
Regional Police Office, Biratnagar, confiscated the betel nuts, garlic and
rickshaw, which were being smuggled to India.
Similarly, the team also seized
jackets, kurta salwar, steel utensils, which were being illegally imported to
Nepal.
All the seized
goods have been handed over to the Mechi Customs Office for necessary action.
