Babiyachour, Dec 6: A total of 31
suspension bridges have been constructed with the support from the
Decentralized Rural Infrastructure and Livelihood Project (DRILIP) in Myagdi
district.
The project is being operated in the
district since 2065BS through the District Development Committee, Myagdi.
Expansion of physical infrastructures in rural areas and improving livelihood
of locals is the main objective of the project.
Sub-Engineer at the DDC, Myagdi, Bal
Krishna Poudel said that a total of 31 suspension bridges were constructed in
the district so far and six are to be constructed this year.
Over 40,000 people of 30 VDCs are
benefitted from the project. A survey has been carried out for the construction
of 10 new suspension bridges in the district in the next fiscal year, it is
