Kathmandu, Dec 21: Visiting Indian Nobel
peace laureate Kailash Satyarthi has described Nepal, a country where the
Gautam Buddha was born and where the Pashupatinath is located, as his second
home.
He also stated that he
would work for the welfare of the children from underprivileged section in
Nepal who are deprived of education.
Speaking in a
face-to-face programme organised by the Reporters' Club here today, he
underlined the need for promulgating the constitution at the earliest for the
political stability and development.
The Nobel laureate
Satyarthi stressed the need of bringing a constitution that safeguards the
children's rights.
On the occasion, Club
President Rishi Dhamala honoured Satyarthi, saying his ideals and simple
lifestyle is inspirational to those in the social service sector. RSS
