Kathmandu,
Dec 21: Nepal has lost to India in the second game of the First South Asian
Invitational Women's Volleyball Competition held on Sunday.
During
the match held in the Covered Hall of National Sports Council, Tripureshwor,
India won the game 3-0 in straight sets.
The
Nepali women players from the beginning of the match made a poor show against
the attacking Indian players.
India
won the match 25-16, 25-17 and 25-17 and clinched 6 points with two wins while
Nepal has also equal 6 points from three games.
Earlier,
India defeated the Maldives 3-0 in straight set while Nepal routed the Maldives
and Bangladesh.
After
the tournament today, Nepal's lead trainer Sudis Kumar Rimal said Nepal played
very well though there were poor performances in serves and blocking.
He
expressed confidence that Nepal team would register victory over Sri Lankan
team in the upcoming game. Nepal is due to play with Sri Lankan team on
Tuesday.
Meanwhile,
Sri Lanka pounded the Maldives in the game held in the same venue on Sunday.
Sri Lanka won the game in straight three sets. With the victory, Sri Lanka has
also managed 6 points.
Bangladesh
and the Maldives; and India and Sri Lanka would play on Monday. RSS
