Pokhara, Dec 25: CPN (UML) leader and former
Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal has said that the contentious issues of new
constitution would be resolved within a week as extensive discussions were
underway among top leaders.
Inaugurating the third annual general meeting
of Pushpa Lal Memorial Park here today, the UML leader said consensus would be
forged by finding out the key issues in order to promulgate the new
constitution as per the aspiration of all.
Stating that the CPN (UML) and Nepali Congress
are not in favour of making other political parties aggressive in the pretext
of two-thirds majority, he stressed that all the parties should come to a
conclusion by giving up their partisan stance.
Leader Nepal expressed the view that people are
in dilemma whether or not the new constitution is promulgated on stipulated
timeframe and added that all parties should be involved to take the country
towards economic prosperity.
Nepal, also the chairman of the Pushpa Lal
Memorial Council, said that Pushpa Lal was the true leader of the Communist
Movement and recalled that Shrestha initiated the transformation of the
society.
Similarly, lawmaker Rabindra Adhikari urged all political parties to move ahead with the responsibility of
constitution writing.
Likewise, lawmaker Yagya Bahadur Thapa, UCPN (Maoist) leader Ganga
Pokharel and CPN (UML) leader Punya Poudel among others also expressed their
