Kathmandu, Dec 27: In their bid to
troubleshoot the contentious issues of new constitution, Chairman of
Constitutional-Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee of the Constituent
Assembly (CA), Dr Baburam Bhattarai, and CPN (UML) leader Madhav Kumar Nepal
held discussions at a hotel in the capital city on Saturday.
The former Prime Ministers agreed to
move ahead by forging consensus among all political parties to promulgate the
new constitution on 22 January 2015, it is learnt.
During the meeting, the leaders
discussed on the current political situation, constitution writing process and
making the ongoing political dialogue meaningful for ensuring the new
constitution by 22 January, said Dr Bhattarai's personal aide Bishwodeep
Pandey.
Likewise, the two leaders agreed to
make united efforts to promulgate the new constitution as per the commitment
made before the public during the Constituent Assembly elections, Pandey said.
