ELDERLY WOMAN DIES OF COLD IN PARSA

Birgunj, Dec 31: Daily public life is becoming harsher with the increasing cold in Parsa district since the past few days.

As a result, an elderly woman died of hypothermia in Petarwa Sugauli of the district. A resident of Ward no-6 in the VDC, 65-year-old Sukhani Devi Tharu froze to death, Area Police Office, Sugauli said.

Along with the elderly, the children have been hardly hit by the dip in the mercury along with the blowing of cold wave.

Meanwhile, majority of the schools in the district have been closed considering the adverse weather conditions. RSS
