Sarlahi, Dec. 29: The Nepal Army
Wives' Association (NAWA) has distributed warm clothes to the very poor
families in the district.
As many as 160 destitute households,
including Dalits, from ware Ishworpur municipality Ward No 1 of the district
were provided warm clothes to fend off biting cold.
They were given quilts, blankets and
clothes for children, grown up and the old ones, according to Chief of Nepal
Army's Ripumardan Battalion, Anjan Keshar Khatri.
Among those getting such warm
clothes are eleven single women.
A 65-year-old woman said she felt it
a great relief with the warm clothes in this winter.
Executive member of the Association,
Seema Shrestha, informed that warm clothes was essential for the poor and Dalit
people, as they failed to afford for better facilities during the cold. RSS
