Minister Dr Ram Sharan Mahat has lambasted on current regressive trends of
disrupting hydropower projects in different districts.
Addressing the 48th general assembly of
the Chitwan Chamber of Commerce and Industry here on Monday, Minister Dr Mahat
called for all political parties to get engaged in development works from now
onwards.
He also informed that China and the
United States are investing a big chunk of capital in Nepal. "The
international community is ready to flow investment to Nepal. We need to enable
environment for capital inflow", he said, expressing confidence that
everything is feasible in Nepal.
The Finance Minister further informed
the government has announced to waive five per cent of tax amount to any
industry having investment of over Rs 5 billion and providing employment to at
least 500 workers.
He made it clear that the government has
announced same law applicable to tourism industry established at the investment
of Rs 3 billions.
"Nepal has witnessed substantial
progress during the past 10 months which were not possible during last three
decades", he said, adding, "Now Nepal is sailing to the path of
