Kathmandu, Nov 19: The UCPN (Maoist)-led 22-party alliance is to inform
the chiefs and representatives of diplomatic missions in Nepal regarding latest
situation of constitution writing process.
A meeting of the alliance held at the parliamentary party office of the
UCPN (Maoist) decided to inform the diplomatic missions about its position on
November 23.
The meeting also took exception to the move of the ruling parties
stating that they were attempting to move ahead unilaterally on the basis of
majority instead of forwarding the constitution writing on consensus.
Talking to journalists after the meeting, co-chairman of Sadbhawana
Party Laxmanlal Karna said that more problems created after the ruling parties
were not sincere to constitution writing process.
According to Karna, the opposition parties would discuss with the
intellectuals, civil society leaders and journalists on November 22 and unveil
their stance on November 24 organizing a news conference.
