700-kw hydropower generated


  Gokuleswor (Darchula), Nov 13: The Poverty Alleviation Fund (PAF) has said that so far 700-KW electricity has been generated in Darchula.

            Altogether 57 micro hydropower projects have been constructed in various parts of the district, said Operational Manager of the PAF Laxmi Chandra Mahat.

            The Bhagawati VDC alone has the highest number of five micro hydropower projects. Almost all projects are smoothly running at the local level.

            However some of them have remained closed due to technical glitch in the machines and natural disasters.
Necessary assistance would also be provided to resume the hydropower projects, Mahato added. RSS
