Educational revolution must for institutionalizing political change: Dahal

            Kathmandu, Nov 7: UCPN (Maoist) Chairman Pushpa Kamal Dahal on Friday stressed on educational revolution as crucial to institutionalizing the political change.

            After inaugurating the first extended meeting of the Unified All Nepal Teachers' Association here, Dahal said the country's prosperity depended on simultaneous forward movement of educational and economic development, and the political change.

            The political parties are striving for strengthening the country on economic, social and educational fronts by promulgating the new constitution by 22 January, Dahal said.

            UCPN (Maoist) Education Department Chief Agni Prasad Sapkota was of the opinion that the reduction of educational budget from 17 to 14 per cent will not allow optimal progress to take place. 
Education Ministry's Under Secretary Bodhraj Niraula said the struggle had not been able to achieve success owing to existence of numerous organizations.

            On the occasion, participating speakers underscored the mounting problems in the education sector resultant due to the state's failure to resolve the problems faced by teachers. RSS
