Jaleshwor Municipality removes over 500 illegal huts

Gaushala, Nov11: The Jaleshwor Municipality in Mahottari district has removed over 500 huts constructed illegally on roadsides and on public land in the town. 

The Municipality launched a week-long special campaign to clear off the huts constructed encroaching upon public land, roadways and footpaths in the municipality area, according to municipality chief Sujit Kumar Karna.

 The illegal construction of shelters on roadsides made the traffic congested, causing two or four accidents in an average daily, he said. With the removal of illegal shelters, roads have become widened and systematic, it is learnt. RSS
