Kailai bus accident death toll increases

Bhimduttanagar, Nov 29: The Kailali bus accident death toll rises to 11, Police Sub-inspector Govinda Pallav Bhata told RSS.

Eight bodies were recovered from the incident site while two others died while receiving treatment, Bhatta added.

Police has believed that drowsy driving could have resulted in the deadly accident.   

A passenger bus of Mahakali Transport Service (Na 5 Kha 5420) met with an accident at midnight at Sahajpur VDC-2 in Kailali district.

The bus (Na 5 Kha 5420) was heading to Mahendranangar from Dipayal of Doti district. The ill-feted bus fell 500 meter off the road near Vasubhir (cliff) along the Bhimdutta Panta Highway.

Identity of the deceased was not ascertained yet.


Security personnel and locals are working for rescue. The injured are receiving treatment at Padma Hospital and Sewa Nursing Home at Attariya, Kailali. RSS
