New centre to be declared in SAARC summit

Kathmandu, Nov 11: A new centre called the Centre for Environment and Disaster Management is going to be declared in the 18th SAARC summit going to be held in Kathmandu on November 26 and 27.

            Speaking in an interaction programme organized in the capital in course of SAARC summit preparations, General Secretary of the SAARC Arjun Bahadur Thapa said that the new centre is going to be declared with comprising different areas.

General Secretary Thapa further said that this summit would be fruitful as all member countries are active to accelerate its activities.

This is the third time of hosting the SAARC summit by Nepal therefore the preparations made by the country and SAARC secretariat regarding it is in full phase, Thapa added. RSS
