Jhapa, Nov 17: CPN (UML) Chairperson KP Sharma Oli has said
that a new constitution would, at any cost, be promulgated by January 22.
Talking
to media persons at Bhadrapur Airport today, chair Oli said that the UCPN
(Maoist) has caused obstructions in bringing a draft of a new constitution to
the public, but the ruling parties are doing their best to foil the conspiracy
of the UCPN (Maoist).
He further said that the Nepali Congress and
the CPN (UML) are working to bring the new constitution on time, meeting
people's aspirations.
UCPN (Maoist) is trying to capture state
power by making the Constituent Assembly a failure, but ruling parties would
defeat this step, chair Oli added.
He further said, "Constitutional
Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee chair Dr Baburam Bhattarai is
delaying to forward the common proposal prepared by the ruling parties to the
CA as he is guided by wrong principles which is unfortunate to the
nation."
Leader Oli said the UCPN (Maoist) has
only led the certain group after forgetting the spirit of all people and it has
led the country towards the confrontation.
