Hetauda, Nov 15: Minister for
Youth and Sports Purusottam Poudel has said that the government was doing
necessary homework to provide information on employment through the local
information Centre. With this the local youths would be benefitted how they
could find jobs in the country and abroad, he added.
Minister
Poudel said so in a two-day seminar organized in Hetauda by the Ministry of
Youth and Sports. Some 70 people including the Chief of the 28 District Sports
Development Committee's office and sport's coaches have been participating in
the seminar themed ' Youth Information and Orientation.
The
Minister, on the occasion, further explained that the government was all set to
employ the youths raising the awareness on various skill-oriented works.
His
information has come in the backdrop when the unemployment rate in the country
stands at more than 40 percent.
"Of
total 8.4 million of the youth in the country, half the population are abroad,
mostly in the Gulf countries," the Minister added, "The government,
in view of this bitter fact, is going to generate skill-oriented jobs for the
youths, both at home and abroad."
For
this, the government was going to collaborate with other Ministries and
planning a budget by knocking the doors at policy level. RSS
