Kathmandu, Nov 15: Constitutional
Political Dialogue and Consensus Committee Chairman Dr Baburam Bhattarai
continued consultation with senior politicians on Saturday as well at a time
when consensus on contentious issues of the constitution has proven elusive.
Dr Bhattarai held talks with CPN (UML)
Chairman KP Sharma Oli at a hotel in Lalitpur.
The CPDCC Chair stressed on agreement to
move ahead in constitution making process and for immediate resolution on
contentious issues, informed his personal secretary Bishwodeep Pandey.
Dr Bhattarai emphasized on reaching an
agreement before the meeting of the Committee. He was of the opinion that a
constitution issued without agreement among the stakeholders of the 12-point
agreement would leave the peace process incomplete and continue instability in
the country.
On the occasion, UML Chair Oli said his
party was prepared for a consensus on disputed issues, informed his personal
secretary Ramesh Acharya.
Likewise, CPDCC Chairman Dr Bhattarai
also held a telephone conversation with Nepali Congress senior leader Sher
Bahadur Deuba.
