conflict victims yet to receive relief support in myagdi

Beni (Myagdi), Dec 12: The conflict victims including those who were injured, suffered damaged to their property and were displaced are yet to receive any relief support from the state.

            Speaking at an interaction organized to mark the 66^th international human rights day here Thursday, conflict victims said that they were yet to receive any relief, compensation and justice.

            There are five conflict victims in the district who have not yet received any kind of relief support. They were caught in the fighting that took place between the then rebels and security force in Beni.

            A total of 98 people affected by the fighting have already received relief assistance of Rs. 300,000 each.

            The local administration is sensitive about the issue and is making efforts to ensure that the due compensation is provided, said Chief District Officer Tek Bahadur KC. RSS
