The Koshi Zonal Hospital has not been providing the medicines available for
free since the past eight months.
There are
certain medicines that are provided for free to the people but the Hospital has
not been doing so, reportedly due to the inability of the Ministry of Health to
release the budget for the same.
We have not been
able to distribute the medicine available for free as we have not received the
budget of Rs. 15.8 million from the Ministry, said Medical Superintendent of
the Hospital Roshan Pokharel.
Furthermore, the
hospital is yet to release payment worth Rs 7.8 million to the contractor
supplying the medicine, said Pokharel. RSS
