Kathmandu, Dec 25: The Metropolitan Police Crime
Division on Thursday arrested Madhu Sudan Kandel, Vice-chairman of Agnijwala
Saving and Credits Cooperatives on the charge of embezzling Rs 2.95 million of
the depositors.
Kandel of Kharelthok VDC-2 in Kavre district,
currently living at Kathmandu Metropolitan City-14, was arrested for his
alleged involvement in the fraud case who grabbed the money by making dummy
signatures of other office-bearers of the institution.
Police arrested Kandel after office-bearers of the
cooperatives including Chairman Baburam Pandey filed a complaint. RSS
