Kathmandu, Dec 25: The Nepal Public
Administration (NPA) Association has decided to give away an award carrying a
purse of Rs 200,000 to a personality by recognizing his or her special
contributions to the fields of public administration and management, the
Association said in a press statement on Thursday.
The seven-member committee led by
former Chairman of the Public Service Commission Tirthaman Shakya has started
homework for selecting the right personality for the award. The award is named
'Hem Bahadur Malla Award'.
Chairman of the Association and
former Secretary Krishna Hari Baskota said the award would be provided every
year to a person among from the secretaries, director generals of the various
government bodies, Chief Justice, vice-chancellors of the universities, head
and senior officers of government, and other key figures leading the
non-government and private organizations as well as journalists, and artists.
