Nuwakot, Dec 15: Constituent Assembly member
Arjun Narsing KC laid a foundation stone to the Basuki Irrigation Project at
Basukiphant of Madanpur VDC-5 in the district on Sunday.
After laying the foundation stone, CA member KC
addressed a programme where he said the irrigation project in the village would
help increase food production.
As agriculture is the main stay of nation's
economy, the State needs to formulate the policy that suits farmers.
On the occasion, Nepali Congress Nuwakot District
President and CA member Jagdish Narsing KC, party president at Madanpur VDC,
Badri Tripathi, Irrigation Committee Chairperson Yadav Pande, and social
activist Hiraram Pnade among others stressed the need for completing the
project on time.
The irrigation project was being constructed for
the unseasonal cultivation in the dry season. RSS
