Kathmandu, Dec 14: The ruling Nepali
Congress' Parliamentary Party today held discussion on the extent of flexibility
to be exercised to resolve the subjects under dispute dogging the constitution
making process.
In the PP meet held at the Prime
Minister's official residence at Baluwatar, the NC lawmakers put forth their
views on the scale of flexibility to be shown over the contentious issues, said
Chinkaji Shrestha, NC Chief Whip.
According to Shrestha, the meeting also
discussed the failure of the Constitutional Political Dialogue and Consensus
Committee to forge an agreement among the disgruntled parties on the proposal
that outlines the resolution on the content of the constitution and the
presentation of the proposal at the Constituent Assembly without a
questionnaire.
NC CA members and the central
members advised on amending the CA Rules of Procedure and the CA Calendar in
order to meet the deadline for delivering the new constitution.
On the occasion, Prime Minister and NC
President Sushil Koirala and NC Vice President Ram Chandra Poudel apprised the
participants of the details of the talks held with other parties on
