Parsa, Dec 14: A cyclist was killed and
another person injured in a road accident at Parawanipur along the
Birgunj-Pathalaiya road section this morning.
The deceased has been identified as
Birendra Ram of Chorani VDC-5.
The accident took place when a car (Ba
11 Cha 7462) heading towards Birgunj from Pathalaiya hit the cyclist at
Parawanipur after it was hit by a tanker (Na 4 Kha 2264) en route to
Amalekhgunj from Birgunj.
Similarly, Ajay Singh of Lipanibirta-8,
who was also pillion riding along with Birendra, was injured in the accident,
said police.
Birendra died while receiving medical
treatment at Birgunj-based Narayani Sub-Regional Hospital, according to the
District Police Office, Parsa.
Injured Ajay is undergoing treatment at
the same hospital.
Police said they have impounded the
tanker and car. RSS
