Three closed sugar mills come into operation

            Parasi, Dec 6: Out of four large sugar mills operating in Nawalparasi, three of them have come into operation.

           

            Lumbini Sugarmill, Bagmati Khadsari Sugarmill and Indiri Sugar Mill have started priduction after payment of last year's due, according to Umesh Yadav, the chairperson of Sugarcane Production Farmers Struggle Committee, Nawalparasi.

            Mohini Sugarmill, although came into operation since a year, has not started the sugarcane srushing yet.

            The mill is due to clear its payment worth Rs 150 million it owes to the sugarcane farmers, said Premchandra Gupta, a leader of the Sugarcane Production Farmers' Struggle Committee. RSS
