Kathmandu,
Nov 16: The Armed Police Force (APF) organized a special function this morning
on the occasion of the 14th APF Day.
On
the occasion, Inspector General of the APF Koshraj Onta and top-ranking
officers offered heartfelt tributes to the 'Immortal APF Personnel'.
During
the programme, the messages of Prime Minister Sushil Koirala, Deputy Prime
Minister and Minister for Home Affairs Bamdev Gautam, Deputy Prime Minister and
Minister for Local Development Prakashman Singh and Home Secretary Surya Prasad
Silwal were read out.
On
the occasion, APF head constable Shivahari Adhikari was named the 'APF
Personnel of the Year-2071' for his outstanding performance.
The
APF said that one of the children of Adhikari would be provided with
scholarship up to grade 12.
Similarly,
three APF personnel, who were injured while discharging their duty, were
awarded Rs 50,000 each while nine APF flood-victim personnel were given Rs
50,000 in relief.
Furthermore,
44 other APF personnel were honoured for their outstanding performance in
different fields and SLC graduate children of the 'immortal APF personnel' were
given prizes.
Likewise,
APF chief Onta unveiled 15 welfare work plans. RSS
