Hetauda,
Nov 16: The underground Maoist Communist Centre-Nepal has surrendered arms and
ammunition under its possession to the District Administration Office,
Makawanpur, in the presence of government-formed political talks committee
coordinator Ananda Prasad Dhungana.
Party
chairman DS Mahat handed over the arms and ammunition to coordinator Dhungana
on Sunday.
One
short machine gun, its magazines, one Mauser gun, 14 pistols, four muzzle
loaders, 74 bullets, 41 detonators, three kilogram sulphur and 20 socket bombs
were handed over to Dhungana.
On
the occasion, Mahat said that the arms were submitted as per the agreement
between the government and party held in a talks meeting three months ago.
Likewise,
Dhungana expressed confidence that aspirations of the dissident party would be
incorporated in the new constitution as per the agreement. RSS
