Kaplivastu, Dec 14: Different student
organisations have jointly padlocked all campuses in Kapilvastu district
protesting the recent fee hike.
District Secretary of the All Nepal
National Free Students Union (ANNFSU), Prakash Gautam, said that the student
organisations have padlocked seven campuses protesting the fee hike by more
than 50 per cent.
Before this, the student organizations
had launched different programmes demanding withdrawal of the fee hike without
obstructing classes.
Gautam said that they were compelled to
padlock the campuses after their demands were not addressed even after
different pressure-exerting programmes including padlocking of accounts section
and ban on entry of campus chief at his office were launched.
President of Nepal Students Union,
Kapilvastu, Rakesh Pandey said that they would padlock the campuses until the
fee hike was not withdrawn. He said that the decision of fee hike was taken
without coordination and consultation with the student organisations.
Pandey also called all students to
support them against the fee hike. RSS
