Pathari, Dec 1: Rampant poaching
of animals in the jungles of Morang has posed a threat of extinction to
wildlife. Illegal killings of wild animals are taking place in various jungles
at Tadi, Jante, Madhumalla, Keraun, Bhogateni, Pathari and Sanischare. Hunting
of deer, wild boar, porcupine, and other species of wild animals for the
smuggling of their body parts is going uncontrolled and unchecked in these
jungles, said a local community forest users' group treasurer Khadga Basnet. But, the authority concerned here is yet to
come up with strong measures against animal poaching. RSS
